It seems the bad days are going to linger in Orissa. First it was the riots & now floods. It's the worst flood to hit Orissa in past 50 years affecting about 38 lakhs. More or less you are aware about that. These people need our help. With winter ready in the wings, they need to settle down before the end of October.

UBSS:

We have decided to be a part with UBSS who are currently involved in rehabilitation activities. Established in the year 1982, the Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti (UBSS) made its first valued contribution in the aid of cyclone affected people of the state in the year 1982 itself. Be it flood, cyclone, famine or sunstroke deaths or any form of natural calamity, the dedicated volunteers of UBSS have fought against all odds to reach the people in their hours of crisis. 1.Artha Dana - Assist financially for rehabilitation work
2.Bastu Dana - Donating old or new blankets/winter wears (which will be done later)
3.Srama Dana - Visit Orissa, be a sevak (volunteer) & work for the people

Bastu Dana:
We have plans to collect blankets from various parts of Bangalore in near future. We are not able to go ahead with this because of lack of volunteers.

Time is the most precious thing expected from you. You are always welcome to visit any seva kendra & guide the work.
