India is the only country where people from minority communities can stay peacefully and exert all their democratic rights. This is possible only because the majority of Hindus are courteous to people from different faiths.
But when their humble character is taken for granted and the outsiders start taking advantage of it in their evangelist works (often by denigrating the local customs, culture, deities and faith), there is bound to be some repercussions. And it resulted in the violence where many people from both the communities suffered.
For peace to sustain there has to be effort from both the sides. Just like it is impossible to clap using one hand, it is not possible to maintain peace when one community has the motto of humiliating the faith of the other community.
The kind of violence that is happening in India now-a-days cannot be instigated by any organization; it is the feeling of the oppressed people which gets burst under specific situations. The case in Orissa got flared up after the repeated attacks on Swamiji for his curt criticism towards the evangelist missionaries where as the case in Karnataka was the by-product of the hatred mission instigated by the magazine "Satya Darshini", endorsed by some biblical community.
The underlying point is that, we need to have respect for others if we want peace for ourselves.
